Dieting: Food For Thought

“Diets” don’t work. They wreak havoc with your metabolism. And ulimately cause you to gain more weight in the long run.
Healthy lifestyle changes that you can stick with for the long haul – that’s what works!

The “No-carb” diet will NOT produce long term results!! Sure, you might see a drop in the scale initially…it won’t last. (a LOT of that weight loss is water). Rapid weight loss can cause the metabolism to slow.

This diet can’t be maintained long term – you’ll lose muscle density and insulin resistance s affected. your body needs carbs. Once the diet ends, the body “hoards” and stores carbs…which causes weight gain and water retention. And so the cycle goes…. I could go on & on w/more statistics – you get the idea.
Any “diet” that has you eliminate an essential part of your nutrition is a bad idea. Yo-yo dieting will affect you metabolism as you age.
 
 
The choices you make today determine the body you will have in 10 years….something to think about.
